What it's like to work with me in coaching?

Our first call

A discovery call to check chemistry

The first step is to jump on a call to see if we are a good fit. Not every coach is the right one and we both need to have a good feeling about working together. So it’s absolutely essential we have a chat before deciding to work together.

We would also need to clarify details like the kind of coaching and your status (whether private client or via a voucher).

the next steps and my approach

If you are registered with the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter, you are eligible to apply for an AVGS voucher. In our call, we will discuss the status and I can help you apply for it.

Once you receive a voucher and all the formalities are taken care of, we will discuss the topics we want to cover during the coaching and define a coaching goal.

Founder coaching: Refining your business idea, setting up a business plan – going through the

Job coaching: Starting with setting goals, defining your vision, we will move to the career profiling. Then we move into the concrete steps of CV, cover letters, LinkedIn, networking and interview preparation.

In addition to the career focus, my clients also talk to me about other topics that they are currently struggling with.

I don’t care what your problem is…

You can rest assured that I’ll always have an open ear and respond to you with empathy and compassion.

In a recent conversation with another coach, we talked about my target group. When I first started, it was international mothers looking to return to paid work or start a business after Elternzeit. My superpower? – being a mother myself gave me great insight into the particular situation.

Over the last three years, however, I’ve had people message me, “You’re a brown person, you’ll understand the discrimination I’ve faced,” or “You’re a non-German coach in Germany, I believe you can understand my challenges better than anyone else,” or something along those lines.

A client with ADHD said that even though I’m not an expert, I made an effort to understand what she needed from the coaching. A queer client said I responded with kindness to their challenges.

So I’ll say it again: I don’t care what your problem is, you can count on my empathy and compassion.

Let’s get on a call and get started!
